About this app

Mull is an English dictionary that works entirely offline, and a quiet way to pick up words you half-know.

Look up any word or idiom, with definitions written in plain modern English rather than copied from a hundred-year-old source. Or open the Mull tab and scroll, one word per card, the way you'd scroll anything else while waiting for a kettle to boil.

The words are chosen rather than dumped. Shelves like Better Than "Very", Read but Never Said, and Faces and Gestures each make a promise, and the words in them keep it.

What's in it
· A full offline dictionary. No signal needed, ever.
· Curated shelves of words worth learning, not just words that exist.
· Idioms, proverbs and phrases, with what they mean and when to use them.
· Notes and your own shelves, kept on your device.
· Define any word from inside any other app, without leaving it.
· A quiz, when you want one. Never a streak, a badge, or a notification.
· A home screen widget, if you like a word each morning.

What's not in it
No account. No sync. No ads. No analytics. Mull has no internet permission at all, so nothing you look up can leave your phone.
An offline English dictionary, and a calm way to learn words worth knowing.
