In GuruWalk you will be able to see different free walking tours of the city and check the following information about them:

- Date and schelude when the tour takes place.

- Ratings and comments from other GuruWalk users (Walkers).
- Description about the guide (Guru).
- Meeting point and how to recognize the guide.

In addition the Guru (guide) may contact you to inform of any changes that may occur with the free tour.

Purpose and concept of GuruWalk

The purpose of GuruWalk is to raise awareness of this alternative to paid tours by connecting free tour guides (Gurus) and tourists, thus promoting local development and sustainable tourism.

We want to improve or equal the quality of traditional paid tours, thanks to the concept of "free tour", in which the tourist pays the guide the amount he/she wants depending on how satisfied he/she is with the tour.

Find Your Guide in Real-Time

Our app uses foreground service functionality to enable guides and travelers to share their location in real-time safely and efficiently. This allows for:

Real-time location: Displaying the traveler's and guide's positions on a map while on the move, ensuring they can easily find each other.
Seamless experience: Keeping the functionality active even when the app is in the background to avoid interruptions during the journey.
The location is only shared during the active tour and always with the user’s explicit consent. This functionality is key to providing a safe and convenient experience.

Ratings and reviews

It's a cool app but the one thing super frustrating about it is it should be easier to access a search bar to look for tours; I always struggle to search for a tour when I'm traveling; other than that it's a superb tool for traveling on the cheap. Just make a direct in-app link to search for tours in any particular city.

Doesn't work at all. Login fails. Search fails. Great service, bad app.

Slow and laggy. Also, the address when I clicked on it wasn't able to open in Google maps. When I copy/pasted the map adress and plugged it into Google it brought me to the wrong location (4 blocks away). Also the message notifications were delayed. Sorry guru, I know you tried. I would use the walking tours again but I've uninstalled the app.
