Last Stand
You wake in a cabin buried in snow. A fire is dying. Across the room, a child you don't recognize is asleep.
Her name is Lila. She doesn't know who you are either.
Last Stand is a 3D top-down survival horror about two strangers — a woman and a child — finding each other inside a world that won't stop changing. Each time Lila sleeps, the woods outside rearrange. There is no map that stays true. There is no safe route you can memorize.
There is only the cabin. And the lantern you carry into the dark.
━━ EVERY SESSION ━━
Light your lantern and venture into a shifting 4×4 grid of snow-covered tiles. The light does three things at once: it reveals what's ahead, slows the infected who stalk you, and triggers your rifle the moment they step inside the beam. Gather firewood, food, and scavenged supplies. Reach abandoned outposts and stoke their embers to buy breathing room. Return before the fog closes in — because Lila's drowsiness is the world's clock.
Back at the cabin, feed her. Tend the fire. Read the Journal she keeps — a scrapbook of drawings and fragmented words she fills while you're gone. Over dozens of sessions the Journal becomes a record of what Lila thinks of you.
━━ THE WORLD RESHAPES ━━
Every time Lila falls asleep, the world outside resets. Same cabin. Different woods. The fog rolls inward in waves as she grows tired. Landmarks vanish. Occasionally something wrong bleeds through — a pale tint creeps over everything, your lantern shrinks, and Lila writes something she shouldn't know.
━━ TRUST IS THE ONLY PROGRESS ━━
There are no levels. No XP bar. The only thing that deepens is your bond with Lila — and what her Journal reveals. Upgrade your shelter, craft better gear, unlock the frozen lake at the edge of the deep zone. Even if you fall, you wake in the cabin with her trust intact. She remembers what you gave her.
━━ NO STORY-BREAKING ADS ━━
A TV sits in the corner of the cabin. Watching it keeps Lila awake a little longer — her drowsiness rolls back one tier. Ads are optional, capped, and woven into the fiction. Nothing locks the story behind a paywall.
