Ratings and reviews

I used to like this app, but over time the amount of ads has increased to the point it fills the whole page- which used to be the main draw over msn weather, but now they are on the same level. 1weather has weather articles like you see in other weather apps, but none of them actually work. You tap an article in the app and instead of opening that article to let you read it, it jumps to a half summary of a completely different article. So genuinely this app has nothing that helps it stand out.

Updating for the third time recently (9/24/25): I have contacted support from their website, in app, and posted on Play Store about issues with the news shorts not loading. With no real response I un-installed and reinstalled. That fixed the news, but now after being grandfathered in for years it expects me to subscribe. I never had ads before and I can't restore purchase. Very disappointed. Looking for alternative weather app after 10 years of using One Weather.

The app is taken over by ads as soon as you tap the screen for anything. trying to close the ad takes you to the advertiser's website and the ad acts exactly like one from a Family Guy skit where you have to try to hit the 'X' exactly dead center or it just keeps opening. So I've basically been unable to get the information for the one thing the app is supposed to provide. Not allowed to uninstall it so forced to disable it and try a different app. Hopefully better luck with The Weather Channel
