About this app

Spyglass is an essential offline GPS app for outdoors and off-road navigation. Packed with tools it serves as binoculars, heads-up display, hi-tech compass with offline maps, gyrocompass, GPS receiver, waypoint tracker, speedometer, altimeter, Sun, Moon and Polaris star finder, gyro horizon, rangefinder, sextant, inclinometer, angular calculator and camera. It saves a custom location, navigates precisely to it later, shows it on maps and using augmented reality displays detailed GPS info, measures distances, sizes, angles, and does a lot more.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON ANDROID RELEASE

One of the best cross-country GPS navigation tools is now available on Android. Most features are implemented, however, some features available on other platforms are to be done. Also, instead of having multiple apps, on Android it is a single free app with a paid unlock of premium features. Be patient and report bugs, if any, directly via our email or the support page.

FINDER, TRACKER & AR NAVIGATION

Spyglass operates in 3D and uses augmented reality to show object positions, info and directions to them overlaid over camera or maps.

Spyglass tracks your target and shows its info – distance, direction, azimuth, elevation and estimated time of arrival.

OFFLINE MAPS

A simple compass that includes elevation, speed, and tilt. Responsive and pretty good. No less accurate than others. Stick with free. The pro version turns on the camera permanently, with no clear way to turn it off and no way to get a refund. And some features do not work with the latest version of Android. It asks for permission to access files, but Settings has no such option. Backgrounds do not work. It includes a map and a coordinates converter, but there is no compass overlay on the map.

Nothing is unlocked free as stared. To use all that is advertised, you will have to pay for it. Also, instead of having multiple apps, on Android it is a single free app with a paid unlock of premium features. Nothing is unlocked. Most of what is advertised will cost you. That needs to be changed to removed from the description. I will update this if anything changes.

Very nice, good interface. I've used this for a while, really like it. Paid for the few extras, a couple are quite handy. When adding stars that are not in the catalog, it would be nice to add the spectral type. Also to be able to choose the sun or moon as the primary target could be very helpful at times. All in all, useful and very well done.
