About this app

HarkNote is a private voice recorder and meeting transcription app. Recording, transcription, speaker labels and summaries all run on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no cloud. Your audio and your notes never leave the device unless you share them yourself.

WHAT IT DOES
• Record meetings, interviews, lectures and voice notes, or import audio you already have
• Transcribe offline with NVIDIA Parakeet or Whisper, running on your phone
• Speaker labels tell who said what, and finish even for two and three hour meetings
• Summaries, key points, action items and decisions, generated on device with Gemma or Qwen when you install one, with an honest fallback when you don't
• Ask questions about a recording and get answers from the transcript, on device
• Transcribe a finished recording again with a different model whenever the audio is still on your phone
• Export a transcript as text or SRT subtitles, or copy it anywhere
• Wear OS companion: start and stop a recording from your wrist and hand it to your phone

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
• No network permission is used for your recordings or transcripts
• No account, no telemetry, nothing phones home
• Model downloads come straight from their public releases and are verified before use
• A save receipt tells you exactly when a note is safely stored, so you can put the phone away

BUILT FOR LONG SESSIONS
Hour-long meetings are normal. If the app is closed mid-way, processing picks up where it left off instead of starting over, and the card tells you how long it has been running and how long is left.

MODELS YOU CHOOSE
Download only what you want under Models: Parakeet v3 (recommended, seven languages), Whisper base or tiny, and Gemma 4 or Qwen 3.5 for summaries and questions. Nothing is installed without asking.
