Set your MEV (minimum effective volume) and MRV (maximum recoverable volume) per muscle group, or start from sensible defaults and tune as you go. Mesos starts each muscle near its MEV and progresses toward MRV across the block, then deloads before recovery debt stalls your progress.
RIR-driven progression
Log each set with reps, load, and reps in reserve. Mesos reads the trend across sessions and adjusts the next week's volume from your actual performance — not a fixed template. Sets get added when you're recovering well, held when you're not, and pulled back when the data says you're at your ceiling.
Deloads when you need them, not on a fixed calendar
The app watches for the signals that precede a stall — rising RIR at the same load, soreness that doesn't clear, performance flattening — and proposes a deload when they accumulate. You confirm or push the block one more week. Your call, with the evidence in front of you.
