Synopsis:

Penniless after returning home from the war, Isako makes a deal with the demon Maku. In exchange for an endless amount of money, Isako must survive ostracization and attempts on her life for seven years without once asking for help. Should she fail, she yields her soul to Maku.

Ratings and reviews

Story is very atmospheric, unique and deeply moving. The story is incredible whether you get a happy or tragic ending. The music is beautiful and matches the story's thoughtful, sad tone. Characters are intriguing, realistic and complex. I love the art - it's simple and gorgeous. Content warning for distressing descriptions of violence (burning, poisoning, stabbing).

Honestly, I didn't expect to be this enjoyable and I thought it would be a short story. It ended being either almost or more than an hour, can't tell really. The art may not be the best they are good enough and I really like the character designs. A but confused which era this takes place in because Isako has zippers in one her jacket(?). Also, didn't expect lesbian. I appreciate that there is that. Been wanting to read more WLW stories. Cool story. So cute. Would recommend

I absolutely adore this game, it's so cute. Characters are really great and the whole story very interesting. One of the best WLW games I've played. I recommend it a lot <3
