FairStream Pulse is a video call where both of you see how the body responds. The participant has a sensor connected to their phone (finger sensor, chest strap or watch) and their heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), breathing and skin conductance are shown live to both sides of the call. The session guide sees the values and charts, can add markers during the session and replay it afterwards together with the video. It is a wellness tool for self-awareness, relaxation practice and conversation support, not a medical instrument.
For whom
• Guides and their clients: therapists, coaches, breathing, relaxation and mindfulness instructors who work remotely and want body signals in the call.
• Couples and friends: during a call you see how the other person's body responds. What it means, you find out together. For curiosity, self-awareness and fun.
How it works
1. The guide creates a session and sends the participant a link or a code.
2. The participant joins from a phone with a Bluetooth sensor connected and confirms consent to share the values.
3. Live values and charts run during the video call; a recording stays after the session.
What you see
Heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV: SDNN, RMSSD), the activation vs. calming balance, breathing and heart rhythm coherence, an indicative activation index (tension and load) and skin conductance. All indicators are derived by fixed formulas from the sensor values. They are indicative and their meaning is for you to judge.
Supported sensors
• StressLocator finger sensor (heart rate, pulse wave, full HRV).
• Chest straps by Polar, Garmin, Wahoo and others with the standard Bluetooth heart rate profile (heart rate and beat intervals, full HRV).
• Watches with heart rate broadcasting: Garmin, Polar, Huawei, Amazfit, COROS, Suunto, Pixel Watch (heart rate only).
• Samsung Galaxy Watch with our watch app (heart rate only).
• Apple Watch support is in preparation.
• BT-GSR skin conductance sensor (optional add-on).
Recording and replay
A session can be stored with video and values. In the player you scrub through the whole session, video and values stay in sync and markers take you to the important moments.
Privacy
Sensor values and videos belong to the session and are visible only to its participants. The participant gives consent when joining the session; without consent no values are collected. Data is stored on servers in the European Union and both the guide and the participant can delete it at any time. Privacy policy: https://therapy.fairstream.live/therapy-privacy.html
Intended purpose
FairStream Pulse is a video-call application that shows participants their current physiological readings from a connected sensor (heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing, skin conductance) during a conversation. It is intended for general wellness, self-awareness, relaxation practice and conversation support between a participant and their guide, coach, therapist or a close person. It is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, predict, prognose, treat or alleviate any disease or injury, nor to investigate a physiological or pathological process or state for medical purposes. It does not recognise emotions or mental states; the indicators are derived by fixed formulas and their meaning is judged solely by the participants. If you have health concerns, consult a physician.
Not a medical device. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or to monitor a health condition. Requires a compatible Bluetooth sensor (sold separately).
