Paprika 3 was recommended to me by a family member who raved about it and I now rave about it. It is an indispensible, daily-use app for me. It saves me the stress and hassle associated with recipe organization, menu planning, and grocery list making. It's very easy to edit the files based on our preferences, like omiting or changing an ingredient or cooking step. The recipe built-in timers, based on the text of the instructions, are very helpful but dismissing the timers can b a bit cumbersome.

The app is an excellent way to transcribe and store recipes that you find. I had been using the free version for a long time before hitting the recipe limit, and though I'm generally reluctant to purchase apps, the transcription functionality alone is worth the price of admission. I also love having a digital database of recipes, instead of an old tin like my grandma might have had. If you like cooking and enjoy having the ability to save interesting recipes for later, get it!

Paprika 3 is good as a basic recipe manager with no flair or frills. Everything is just a simple text box. There is no numbered list, heading, subsection, or checkbox support. At first I thought I could live without these, but they provide visual cues that help parse through recipes and improve the user experience. Long recipes are just blobs of text and it's very easy to get lost. Also the button at the bottom of a recipe after downloading shouldn't be delete but save, or at the least be red.
