About this app

Boston is steeped in Revolutionary War history, from the Tea Party to the Battle of Bunker Hill. Join me, as we start this guided audio tour at the site of the original Liberty Tree, then walk the well-marked Freedom Trail, stopping at 18 sites.

See Boston’s most historic sites the way they were meant to be seen: on foot. The Freedom Trail was designed for walking, and this audio tour allows you to take it at your own pace. Stop for lunch at a historic tavern, step in out of the rain and resume later.

Good for tourists and locals of all ages. It's like having your own private tour guide, at a fraction of the price.

All Two Buck Tours include a map with GPS, walking directions, photos, tips, audio narration in English, and interesting information about each site. After downloading, they are fully functional offline.

Not visiting Boston anytime soon? The history and photos will let you experience a guided tour of the Freedom Trail right in your own home.

Not that great... It worked, but it was clunky shifting from the audio to the map and back. Its one or the other and you lose your place in the audio, if you switch to the map. It's set up only one way, so you can't really start the trail from the other direction. Honestly, I expected more content and more of a directed walking tour. It was more of map with narrated Wikipedia dialogue.

Everything worked well. The audio and GPS. Each stop had a 2-3 minute audio with interesting information. I probably would have liked more but I'm a history junkie. I did this during Covid19 so all the attractions were shut down. This was a great option. I'd say it was worth it.
