Two hands thrown at the very same instant, two numbers shouted over each other — and only one of you can be right.
La Mourra brings the age-old hand duel of Morra to your phone. Both players throw out a hand at the same moment, one to five fingers, and call out loud the total they expect from the two hands together. Call it exactly right while your opponent misses, and the point is yours. If you both find it, or neither does, nothing is scored and the next round starts straight away.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY
• Two players, one phone — pass the device back and forth. A cover screen keeps each move secret until the reveal.
• Against the computer — a solo opponent that plays the way a real player does: it throws its hand, then bets on yours.
THE RHYTHM OF THE REAL GAME
A countdown with sound and vibration, both hands shaking together, then MOURRA! — the fists open on the fingers played and the two calls appear side by side. There is no confirm button: you compose your move while the countdown runs, exactly as you throw hand and number together at the table. And you can only call a total your own hand can still reach — no shouting ten from behind a single finger.
SET YOUR OWN PACE
Three tempos — Normal, Slow, Slower — change nothing but the speed of the beat. Take it slow while you learn to read a hand, then tighten it until hand and number leave together, or not at all.
A SHOUT WITH A VOICE
The "Mourra!" is spoken out loud by your phone, in a man's or a woman's voice, your choice. It borrows an Italian voice, by far the closest there is to Sardinian and Corsican — Android offers neither.

Left-handed? One switch moves the number pad to the left of the arena, under your thumb. Light and dark themes follow your phone, or you can hold either one.
YOUR GAME, YOUR RULES
Set the target score from 3 to 16 points — 16 is the traditional Sardinian match — and the countdown from 2 to 5 seconds. Every finished game is kept in a history with scores, winner and date.

Morra is one of the oldest hand games in the world, with traces reaching back to ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. It was long the game of shepherds and woodcutters in mountain inns, it has been listed as French intangible cultural heritage since 2012, and it still fills whole tournaments in Sardinia.
