I've used the app for a little bit now and functionally it's the same thing as the last one, just with a more user-friendly design. However Horicon seems to have a tradition of making first time sign-ins a living hell. I tried no less than ten times to get in to my account, a new different thing going wrong each time. First it wouldn't accept my SSN, then it wouldn't send a confirmation email, etc. I understand the security, but the app at the very least needs to work the first time.

I'm trying to verify my account after getting a new phone.It asks for verification numbers sent via phone call or email. Prob is the moment you come back to the ascend app to put the numbers in, the screen is blank. I had to close the app and reopen it and go thru the same process I just did. I wanted to use those same verification numbers when I got to that step, however, it tries to have me resend numbers-not enter in the ones I already have. Which blanks the screen when i check the numbers.

The bank is absolutely awesome the people are friendly and eager to help you!! But since they have switched to the ascend app for online banking it's been a absolute nightmare!!!! It shows sharks that are mailed but they've been mailed for a while and cashed!! So frustrating that the online bank app doesn't do it's job!!! 😩
