HQ Camera extracts the maximum image and video quality your phone's hardware is capable of — every photo at full sensor resolution, every video at the highest bitrate your device supports.

📸 PHOTO QUALITY

Captures at full sensor resolution with JPEG quality 100 using MAXIMIZE_QUALITY mode. The camera takes the extra milliseconds the hardware needs to produce the sharpest, most detailed image possible — no shortcuts.

🌙 YOUR PHONE'S OWN HDR & NIGHT ENGINE

Tap to cycle Std → HDR → Night → Auto+. This activates the same computational photography pipeline your phone manufacturer built in at the chip level — the real OEM engine, not a software imitation.

🎛️ PRO / MANUAL MODE — PHOTO & VIDEO

Take complete control of exposure:

• ISO — lock sensor gain to manage noise in low light
• Shutter speed — dial in motion blur, freeze fast action, or follow the 180° rule for cinematic video
• Focus distance — pull focus manually in diopters; ∞ locks to infinity for landscapes

Sliders update live during video recording via Camera2 hardware control. Ride the ISO or pull focus mid-shot without stopping the clip.

🎙️ STUDIO-QUALITY AUDIO RECORDING

Records at up to 48 kHz stereo, 320 kbps AAC — the professional broadcast video standard — with four stacked layers of on-device noise processing:

• Hardware NR: AudioSource.CAMCORDER routes through the SoC DSP before the CPU
• NoiseSuppressor: software noise gate on the recording session
• AcousticEchoCanceler: removes echo and speaker bleed
• AutomaticGainControl: consistent vocal levels across environments

The app negotiates the best quality your hardware supports: 48 kHz stereo → 48 kHz mono → 44.1 kHz stereo → 44.1 kHz mono.

🎨 12 AMBIENT COLOUR MODES

Change the look and feel of your scene with one tap. Colour effects apply at the camera ISP level — what you see in the viewfinder is what gets recorded. Works in real time, including during video.
