Most "compress my file" apps quietly upload your data to a server somewhere. Squeeze doesn't. Every byte of processing happens locally, so your documents, photos, and PDFs stay yours.

- Photos & images — re-encoded to the modern WebP format. Images with transparency get a fully lossless pass; photos get a high-quality lossy pass that looks the same to the eye but takes up a fraction of the space.
- PDFs — the bloated embedded images inside your PDFs get recompressed and resized, while your text, fonts, and layout stay completely untouched and fully searchable.
