PawPoints turns your daily dog walk into rewards at local businesses.
Every walk earns points. Points buy real treats — a coffee, a grooming discount, a service from a local partner — priced by the businesses themselves, never in dollars. It's free, and there's nothing to buy.
HOW IT WORKS
• Tap Start, walk your dog. PawPoints tracks distance and time while the app is open.
• Snap a photo at the end to verify the walk and bank your points.
• Points build up to a 1,000-point wallet and stay valid for 12 months.
• Open Rewards, pick a partner, choose an offer — then hand your phone to the staff, who confirm it with their store PIN. Done.
WALKS THAT SUIT YOUR DOG
• Weekly distance targets based on your dog's breed and age, informed by Kennel Club and AAHA guidance.
• Rest-day suggestions when your dog has done enough — rest days count too.
• Points are earned fairly: up to 20 a day, so a Chihuahua and a Labrador both get there.
YOUR PACK
• Add friends, see their walks and photos, cheer them on with comments.
• Your photos are private to the friends you choose. Nothing is public.
• Meet Hugo & Daisy, our golden retriever mascots, in the feed.
TRUSTED PARTNERS
• Browse partner businesses across your country, sorted by distance if you allow location — the sorting happens on your phone; your location is never sent to us.
• Offers show exactly what you get, the terms, and how many points it takes.
• New partners join regularly. Own a business? Apply free in the app or at pawpoints.co.nz — no fees, no fixed term.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
• Location is used only while you're walking, to measure distance.
• The camera and photo library open only when you tap to take or choose a photo.
• Delete your account any time from Settings.
