THE NETWORK, NOT JUST THE TRAIL
Other tools think in fixed routes. HutScanner maps the entire hut network — every hut, every walkable connection between them, with real distance, ascent, descent and walking time for each leg. Build any route you like, or let the route finder discover itineraries you'd never have spotted.

ROUTE FINDER
Tell HutScanner where you're starting, how many nights you have, and how far you like to walk each day. It searches the network and returns complete itineraries — point-to-point or loops — ranked by quality.

ROUTE BUILDER
Prefer to plan by hand? Tap huts to chain your own itinerary. Leg-by-leg stats and cumulative totals update live, and you'll be warned if a day is too long or terrain needs special equipment.

BEST DATES TO BOOK
Give HutScanner your route and a date window and it finds the least-effort way to book the whole chain — across start dates, rest days and nearby hut swaps — so you can see at a glance which nights are bookable.

EXPORT FOR THE TRAIL
Take your plan with you: a priority-ordered booking checklist and a GPX track of the whole route for your GPS app or watch.

TERRAIN YOU CHOOSE
Standard routes stick to marked hiking trails. Experienced? Unlock demanding terrain, glacier crossings and via ferrata variants in the manual builder. Every route is classified by SAC difficulty scale.

No sign-up, no login. Your routes and preferences are stored on your own device. We use privacy-friendly, anonymised analytics to see which features are useful — never linked to your identity, never shared with third parties for advertising, and you can turn it off any time in Settings. The app never asks for your location.
