hYYa Encrypted Notes encrypts everything on your device before it is saved. Nobody can read your notes without your passphrase — not hYYa, not anyone else. hYYa runs no server that could hold a copy, and there is no hYYa account to break into.
A PRIVATE NOTEPAD, DIARY AND JOURNAL
Quick memos, a private diary, a long-running journal: use it as a secure notepad or a vault for anything you would never want someone else to read. Every word stays locked behind your password, a passphrase only you know, and it all works offline, with no internet connection needed for anything but the optional sync.
ENCRYPTED BEFORE IT IS SAVED
Every note, every title, every folder name and every date is encrypted with AES-256 before it is saved. Even the list of your note titles is encrypted, so nothing the app stores on your phone can be read without your passphrase.
NO ACCOUNT TO CREATE. NO SERVER. NO TRACKING.
There is nothing to sign up for, and no hYYa server for the app to talk to, so it never sends anything to us. It contains no analytics of any kind. Apart from Google Play's own purchase screen, the only connection it makes is to your own Google Drive, and only if you switch sync on.
SYNC THROUGH YOUR OWN GOOGLE DRIVE
Optional, and it stays yours. Your library syncs as encrypted files in your own Google Drive, attachments included, and edits made on two devices are merged instead of one device's copy winning. On another phone or tablet, choose "Open my library from Google Drive" and enter your passphrase. hYYa never sees any of it: your notes leave your device only in encrypted form, and only for the Google account you chose.
WRITE IN ANY LANGUAGE
Arabic paragraphs read right-to-left while English paragraphs in the same note read left-to-right, worked out line by line as you type, checklists included.
ATTACHMENTS, SEALED
Add images and files to a note. They are encrypted exactly like the words around them, and each one stays tied to the note it belongs to.
BRING WHAT YOU ALREADY WROTE
Import from Markdown, plain text, HTML or an Evernote export. Import and export are both free — an app built against lock-in cannot charge you for the doors.
MARKDOWN, WITHOUT THE CEREMONY
Headings, bold, lists, checklists and quotes, with a toolbar when you want it and plain text underneath, so anything you export opens in any text editor, not only in this app.

Search titles instantly, and the full text of every note once the app has read through them. The search data is encrypted too, so searching never leaves a readable copy of your notes anywhere.
UNLOCK WITH BIOMETRICS
Your notes lock the moment you leave the app. Open them with your fingerprint or your passphrase — the passphrase always works, so adding a new fingerprint can never lock you out of your own library.

Keep 15 notes free, forever — no clock, no countdown, no trial to expire. Encryption, sync, biometric unlock, import and export are free for everyone and always will be. Every note exports as a plain text file (Markdown) with its attachments beside it, free, in one tap. This app exists to keep your writing portable, so holding it hostage would defeat the point.
