The WKA is a non-commercial organisation conceptualised and developed by professionals with proven credentials in education through distance learning. It is delivered through an interactive electronic platform to enable an evidence-based, cost-effective approach to managing patients with kidney disease and those who received organ transplantation. This ambitious endeavour, an asynchronous global ward round, will bridge a massive hiatus in clinical practice by fostering a live interaction between healthcare professionals from different countries. There is a dire need to help, guide, mentor and support our colleagues committed to healthcare systems looking after patients from low- and middle-income backgrounds.
