About this app

IC Scout is the mobile configuration tool for IC Realtime security camera installers. Discover, initialize, and manage IC Realtime devices directly from your phone — no laptop or desktop software needed.

DEVICE DISCOVERY
Automatically finds IC Realtime cameras, NVRs, and doorbells on your local network using DCP and DHIP protocols. Devices appear within seconds of connecting to the site's WiFi.

DEVICE INITIALIZATION
Set admin passwords on factory-fresh devices — individually or in bulk. Secure encrypted credential exchange protects passwords during setup. Password strength validation ensures compliance with device security requirements.

DEVICE MANAGEMENT
After initialization, sign in to manage devices:
• Sync device clock from your phone
• Configure NTP time servers and timezone
• Set the on-screen channel name (OSD overlay)
• Capture live snapshots
• View storage status

DEPLOYMENT MANIFEST
Export a CSV manifest with device details and credentials after setup — ready to hand off to the project manager or NOC team.

SUPPORTED HARDWARE
IC Realtime IP cameras (IPMX, IPEG, IPFX, IPEL series), NVRs (MX, FX, EL, EG series), doorbells, and doorstations. IC Home devices (Orbit, Flooder, Guardian, Dinger) are discovered but use a different management protocol.

REQUIREMENTS
• Android 8.0 or later
• WiFi connection to the same network as the devices
• IC Realtime hardware on the local network (or use Demo Mode)
