About this app

Zoomi is a screen magnification accessibility app that helps people with low
vision, presbyopia, and other visual difficulties read what is on their phone.

One floating button adjusts the magnifier and the text size right away, so you
never have to dig through Settings when the text is too small.

■ Why Zoomi uses the accessibility service

Zoomi uses the Android AccessibilityService API because screen magnification
can only be provided through that permission. It is used solely to turn the
magnifier window on and off, adjust the zoom level, and show the control
buttons on screen.

■ Two tools

Screen zoom (magnifier)
Opens a magnifier window over the part you are reading. Adjust the zoom across
9 levels and drag the window wherever you need it.

Bigger text
Raises the system font size across 9 levels, so messages, news and chat apps
all become easier to read.

■ Private by design

Zoomi never reads or stores what is on your screen. It does not declare the
permission to read screen content (canRetrieveWindowContent), so it is
technically unable to read the text or images you are looking at.
No code we wrote sends anything over the internet.
(The internet permission you see in app info belongs to the Google Play Billing
Library, which handles the paid unlock.)
