Liking it so far! I love a good zombie show/movie irl so games like these are sort of up my alley. Not typically my type of game (strategy/fort building) but it's holding my attention. I love the varied cast of characters with their own voices, backgrounds, themes, etc. The gameplay is easy to follow. It is a bit daunting with how much is on the screen, how much you have to remember, various different menu screens. It's overwhelming but I'm trying to get the hang of it. Overall very good!

The games pretty fun, but I do agree with some of the other people that reviewed this game with lower stars that the upgrades take a ridiculous amount of time (researching a tier 4 troop takes around 3 weeks, so 3 weeks per troop is about 3 months). Just to clarify, you don't have to buy stuff, even though the game kind of pushes you to, but it'll take way longer to catch up and you can't participate in certain events; makes you feel left out. And, yes, this game is a lot of work.

Steep learning curve. Take lots of notes. At my point, Catherine is by far the most effective hero. 4 months later: vicious circle, enemies strength progresses faster than your team. Too many side options for strength and too much randomness to progress gains. Wish I never started but hooked for now. Too expensive, try not buying when you fail at the same point time after time.
