About this app

Grade tests from a photo, a batch of photos, a PDF, or an upload. iGrade is the AI grading assistant built by a teacher, for teachers — shoot a handwritten test with your phone and get per-question results. No scanner, no bubble sheets, and no pasting student work into ChatGPT.

HOW IT WORKS

Photograph your answer key (or type a rubric for essays)
Add the student papers — photograph them, upload a PDF, or send a whole batch at once
Get per-question results — Correct, Incorrect, Review — plus an AI performance summary

WHAT IT GRADES
✅ Fill-in-the-blank and short answer
✅ Multiple choice (handwritten or bubble sheet)
✅ True/false
✅ Spelling tests
✅ Multi-part questions — each part graded on its own, with partial credit
✅ Essay and free-response (rubric-based, with writing analysis)
✅ Batch grading — photograph a stack of papers against one answer key
✅ Save an answer key once and reuse it on any device
✅ Export results as CSV for any gradebook or LMS

GRADE PAPERS IN MINUTES, NOT HOURS
Grading a stack by hand eats your evenings. A class set of 30 takes about eight minutes — photographing them is the slow part. iGrade does the reading and the math; you stay in charge of every grade and all feedback. When it isn't confident, it flags the question instead of guessing.

BUILT FOR REAL CLASSROOMS
Math, science, English, history, foreign-language vocabulary, spelling. If students wrote answers by hand, iGrade can grade it.

THE FAST OPTION SHOULDN'T BE THE RISKY ONE
A teacher who wants to grade faster has one real choice today: paste student work into ChatGPT or Gemini. It works — but it drifts, and needs constant recalibration. It's also what your district's data policy exists to prevent, which is why it happens quietly and nobody puts it in a lesson plan. iGrade was built so you don't have to make that trade.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT — MIRROR TEST IT
Photograph your answer key, then photograph it again as the student paper. A grader reading honestly should mark the rote answers right and still stop on the open-ended ones — a paragraph in your own words is a judgment call no matter who wrote it. Watch where it agrees and where it flags. It's the test we'd run on somebody else's grader.

YOU CAN CHANGE HOW IT GRADES, AFTER YOU SEE THE RESULTS
Marked something differently than you would? Tell iGrade — "accept either spelling," "Q7 needs the unit," "be stricter on the explanations" — and it re-grades the set your way. The adjustment sticks to that answer key, so the next class is graded the way you decided.

PRIVACY THAT PROTECTS YOU AND YOUR SCHOOL
🔒 Designed to limit how much identifying information ever travels with a paper
🔒 Names and IDs are stripped from extracted text, and never kept
🔒 Google Gemini reads the handwriting — API terms prohibit training on your data
🔒 Free-response is evaluated from extracted text only — no images sent
🔒 Student images are deleted from our servers after grading
🔒 No ads, no advertising trackers, no student data sold — ever
🔒 Student information is never used to build profiles
🔒 There are no student accounts; students never touch iGrade at all
🔒 No system catches everything — crop identifying info before uploading

AI Disclosure: Google Gemini reads the handwriting, OpenAI GPT-4o-mini evaluates free response from extracted text only. No student data trains any model.
