It can not only replace the traditional remote controller , but also can present more working data that cannot be displayed by the conventional remote controller. ILIFE V8 Pro is really really good in terms of not bumping into anything and everything and actually mapping the whole vicinity. What I do not understand is why they had to remove the feature that when you go to the Cleaning History, you can see the map of the Smart Cleaning mode. Why? Is it to save memory space? I genuinely don't understand so hence the 3 stars even tho the V8 Pro itself is 5/5. Update: they updated the app and I can see the mapping again. Updated to 5 stars.

App was more useful before they removed the map. Now it just shows an animation instead. Sometimes now and then the app will tell the vacuum to start at 0% suction, which will then cause the vacuum to cut off for "fan error". Another annoyance is the app often will randomly log you out. If you forget your password- the reset page looks suspicious and unsafe. Sometimes scheduled vacuums don'thappen - no reason is given.

I wish the developer would be more consistent with features. App is functional but new updates (Sept 2023) sometimes remove previous enhancements. June 2024 update. They removed even more functionality. Now it shows an 'idiot animation' when the cleaning mode starts. No longer displays a map of cleaning area. I hope they revert this change. Tired of their mickey mouse development team removing features. Bought a Shark. Good luck on this mess. I had enough.
