About this app

Drift: Mindful Heart & Stress Monitoring

Understand the language of your heart. Drift is a compassionate companion designed to help you navigate stress, anxiety, and ADHD through the lens of Heart Rate Variability (HRV).

In a world that never stops, Drift offers a quiet space to check in with your body. By using professional-grade physiological metrics and a minimalist, low-sensory design, Drift turns your smartphone into a powerful tool for self-regulation and emotional awareness.

Why Drift?

For those living with ADHD or anxiety, traditional health apps can often feel overwhelming or "loud." Drift is built on the philosophy of ilseon; a minimalist aesthetic that focuses on calm, clarity, and compassionate insights. Instead of just giving you numbers, Drift helps you understand what those numbers mean for your day.

Key Features

1. Professional Stress Index

Go beyond basic pulse monitoring. Drift calculates your Stress Index using the Kubios-standard (a linearised Baevsky formula) to provide a clear, readable measure of your nervous system's load.

Low Strain / Recovery: Your system is in deep rest—the perfect time for focus.

Active Load: You’re in flow, but don’t forget to breathe.

System Overload: A gentle reminder to scale down and prioritise rest.

2. Precision HRV Monitoring (RMSSD)

Measure your Heart Rate Variability (HRV) using the high-precision RMSSD metric. Understand your body’s resilience and its ability to switch between "fight or flight" and "rest and digest."

3. The Energy Orb

A central, glowing visual representation of your current state. No complex charts required—simply look at the Orb to see if your energy is in a state of calm, focus, or urgency.

4. Compassionate Insights

Drift doesn't just track data; it provides context. If your Stress Index is high, Drift might suggest: "You might just be tired, not stressed."

5. Seamless Sleep Tracking

Log your sleep with a single tap. See how your rest directly impacts your morning HRV and stress levels, helping you find the "sweet spot" for your personal recovery.

6. ADHD & Anxiety Friendly

Minimalist UI: Low-sensory design to reduce cognitive load.

Quick-Log Widget: Check in directly from your home screen without opening the app.

Pulse Feedback: Visual pulsing that syncs with your heartbeat for a grounded, tactile experience.

7. System Stability & Trends

Drift compares your current state to your 60-day baseline to identify if your nervous system is "Stable" or "Variable." Understand the patterns behind your energy crashes before they happen.

How it Works

Drift uses Photoplethysmography (PPG), the same technology found in medical pulse oximeters. By gently placing your finger over your phone's camera lens, Drift detects subtle color changes in your skin to map every single heartbeat with clinical precision.

Start drifting today and learn to listen to what your heart is telling you.
