Moving has never been so easy. The free Imagine Run App creates different routes via gps based on the distance and pace that you set. Your start is also your finish. Wherever you are. The app navigates you into the right direction with audio instructions. Besides routes, you can choose to train with walking or running schedules, created by expert and former marathon runner Gerard Nijboer. For each user, there is a suited scheme available. The schemes variate from 2 to 40 kilometers and last 4 to 12 weeks. They include advices for warming-up, good posture and cooling-down. In this way you gradually build up endurance and makes you train in a good way for certain goals. You can train for The Imagine Run on the 29th of September 2018, the World Heart Day. Since walking and running contributes to a healthier heart, head and body, Imagine Run and the Dutch Heart Foundation bundle their forces to inspire as many people as possible to join the run. Movement activates your body. Your heart rate rises, the metabolism goes up and you get more oxygen in your blood. The heart benefits from this and you can notice it with your increasing fitness. Walking is a low-threshold way to bring more exercise into your daily life.
The Imagine Run

Register in the app for the Imagine Run and choose out of three packages. By buying a starting number, you make a donation to the Dutch Heart Foundation.
Via GPS, the app sets out three possible walking routes for the distance you choose. All three routes start and end at the location where you are at that moment (from a to a). The app can be used anywhere in the world. Quite handy if you want to take a walk somewhere you are not very familiar with.
Walking and running training plans
Alongside going for a walk you can also choose to follow a training plan. Movement and health expert Gerard Nijboer (former marathon runner and Olympic athlete) has created specific training plans to achieve different goals. This way you can responsibly build up your health and endurance. The schedules vary from 2 kilometers to 40 kilometers walking or running and last for 4 to 12 weeks. There is a schedule suitable for every walker and runner. If you have achieved your goal, you can set yourself a new goal and attempt a new training schedule.
The Imagine Run app is your personal coach. You determine how far you walk, the app sets the route. If you opt for a training schedule, the app offers you guidance in the building up of the distances.
