Cloud Backup and Restore is a secure cloud backup and restore app that helps you save important mobile data to your own Google Drive account. Back up and restore SMS messages, call logs, contacts, calendar events, photos, videos, documents, archives, APK package files, audio files, and other supported data whenever you need it.

Cloud Backup and Restore is designed for users who want a reliable backup app, phone restore app, SMS backup app, contacts backup app, photo backup app, video backup app, file backup app, and Google Drive backup manager in one place.

SMS and Call Log Backup

SMS and call log permissions are used only for user-selected backup and restore features. The app requests these permissions only when you open the related category and choose to continue. You can review and select SMS conversations or call log entries before starting a backup.

To restore SMS messages, Android requires Cloud Backup and Restore to become the temporary default SMS app. The app explains this before opening Android’s default SMS role screen. After restore, you can switch back to your preferred messaging app.

Cloud Backup and Restore does not send SMS messages, place phone calls, work as a dialer, monitor communications in the background, or use SMS/call log data for ads, analytics, marketing, profiling, or credit decisions. Current SMS support is for SMS messages only; MMS backup and restore is not currently supported.

Photos, Videos and Files

Photo and video access is used to find selected media, calculate backup size, create backups, restore files, and support scheduled backup. File access is used only to back up and restore supported shared-storage files such as documents, archives, APK files, and audio files. The app does not access Android/data or Android/obb.

Apps Backup

Apps backup saves app information such as app name, icon, package name, version, size estimate, and Play Store link. It does not back up app-private data, passwords, credentials, cache, or installed app data.

Privacy and Data Control

Permissions are requested only when needed for a feature selected by the user. Your backup content is used only to create, display, manage, and restore your backups. SMS content, call history, contacts, filenames, media, and backup files are not sold and are not used for advertising, analytics, marketing, or profiling.

Backups are stored in the Google Drive account you authorize. You stay in control of your data and can manage available backups from within the app. Please review the in-app Privacy Policy for full details about permissions, data handling, ads, analytics, and account controls.
