The Doll is a game for children to take care of a real doll — feeding it with a bottle, bathing it, combing its hair, dressing it, cradling it, and rocking it to sleep.
Made for those who can't yet read.
Everything in the game is spoken by a narrator with a motherly voice: the buttons, what to do in each care routine, the name of each outfit. A little hand on the screen shows the gesture, and the child chooses the doll's name by listening to the names aloud — or speaking into the microphone, without needing a keyboard.
FOUR DOLLS
The child chooses their doll at the beginning: light-skinned, brown-skinned, black, or Asian. Each one has its own hair and face, drawn one by one — it's not the same doll painted in a different color. Every child deserves to play with a doll that looks like them.
SHE REALLY GROWS
The doll starts as a newborn and grows as the child takes care of her. She becomes a three-year-old girl, then a six-year-old girl. The body changes, the face changes, and the voice changes along with it: at first she only coos, then she speaks single words, and in the end she converses.
GOODNIGHT MODE
At bedtime, the doll lies down and the screen becomes a soft nightlight that slowly dims. The cell phone stays on the bed, next to the child.
There are 30 narrated stories to choose from — classics like Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs, stories from the doll itself, and bedtime stories that are only meant to help fall asleep.
No one is eaten, no one dies, no one gets lost forever. They all end peacefully.
ROCK THE CELL PHONE
To lull the child to sleep, they rock the cell phone in their lap, from side to side, as if rocking a real baby. No need to explain: every child knows how to do this.
MAKEUP TABLE AND PAINTING KIT
Blush, eyeshadow, lipstick, and glitter, each in various colors. The child rubs their finger on the doll's face and the color appears.
And there's the painting kit, with a brush: the child paints the doll's face by hand, however they want. A magnifying glass brings the face closer to enhance the details. In the bath, the paint comes off—just like real life.
EARRINGS AND NECKLACES
When the doll grows, it gets an accessories box: earrings and necklaces to match its outfit.
THE DOLL IN YOUR HOME
With the camera, the doll appears standing or sitting on the floor of a real room, and the child takes a picture with it. The photo stays on the device—the adult decides where it goes.
THE DOLL'S FRIENDS
Two children together, side by side, point one device at the other and the dolls become friends. That's all: a little card on the screen, read by the camera. No internet, no registration, no messages, no strangers—they just need to be in the same room.
