I LOVE this app! I've literally been looking for something like this for years. It lets you actually practice writing kanji but in a flash card electronic format that uses spaced repetition. It's perfect. I couldn't keep up with having an actual physical practice book because I'm on the go too much. This I can do whenever I have a spare few minutes and I don't have to lug books around. Totally worth the money if you are serious about learning to write and not just read.

Thank you so much for the raving review! We are so happy that Skritter has helped your language journey. Would it be okay if we use this review in some future campaigns (possibly a social media image or an email). We only share the review, not the name. You can let us know at Happy studies!

The writing experience is great. Feels pretty natural for a screen, although a stylus is a must to properly get a feel for the motions. Unfortunately, since a recent update, writing seems a bit off from where the stylus is on the screen. Also, while doing a writing exercise the app crashed completely. I still stand by the following, as it relates to a different bug. Developer response time is incredibly fast as well. I believe I saw a bug disappear within 24 hours of reporting it. 👏

Thanks for the review! Running into endless popups does sound ridiculous. We've had reports of this issue from a few people, but haven't been able to reproduce it on our end. Could you email (you can use the Help button on the menu drawer) and let us know what settings you have on/off. We'd love to fix the problem!

I enjoy doing Skritter on both Japanese and Chinese! However, I have one problem with this app. When writing hiragana, you have to be ridiculously precise to register a single stroke. This really infuriated me, regardless of how precise I was, the stroke did not register. I really hope you fix this on the app. Thank you.

The beta app was just released as a non beta version (3.3.6) and it fixes this! If you'd like, we'd really appreciate what you think after giving it a go. :)
