Inkspine is a local-first writing app for people building something long.

Novels, serialised fiction, comics, manga, webtoons and screenplays. One project
holds the manuscript and story bible together, so the character invented in
chapter two stays consistent in chapter ninety.

Start privately with no account. When a project needs more than one writer,
sign in with Google and share only that project with invited collaborators.


WRITE

• A fiction block editor for dialogue, monologue, narration, action, SFX, scene
headings, shot direction, time markers and author notes
• Panel and page breaks plus balloon styles for comic, manga and webtoon scripts
• Italic and bold styled while you type
• Live word, panel and block counts
• Drag to arrange chapters, scenes and every item inside a scene
• Browse and arrange chapters inside collapsible volumes
• Choose Arc, Volume, Season, Part, Cour, Episode or your own hierarchy labels

• Invite editors or viewers, with owner controls for roles and access

• Concurrent offline chapters are preserved, renumbered and surfaced for review

Private projects remain on the device. A Google account is optional; only its
account profile and projects you explicitly share use cloud services. Inkspine
has no ads, analytics or generative writing: it organises the work and leaves
the prose to the writer.
