The free version is an ad-supported version and scanned documents are generated are with watermark, plus a limit of 30 pages of adding annotations; Uploading to Evernote/OneDrive is only available for 7 days; Invite 10 collaborators per document at most.

Permission Overview:
1. Storage: CamScanner needs permission to store docs in your phone.
2. Camera: CamScanner needs permission to use camera to scan docs.
3. Phone: In order to bind Premium membership to your device or to ensure normal use without login, CamScanner needs to get your device ID.

It used to be a wonderful app, you pay for a full license and you could use everything. When I bought it in 2014 I paid for the app "CamScanner Full Version". That would seem to indicate I should never have to pay again. Every time I log in the app demands I pay for a subscription to use new features. This is BS. If they are going to charge a subscription, do it with new users but those of us who paid for a full version when it was a new app should get new features free.

This app is still amazing and I won't stop using it, but the most recent update has ruined the add text to page feature. It used to have much more scaling options and a "zero point" when changing the orientation of the text. These were instrumental in my ability to quickly fill out my paperwork and keep it looking clean and essentially seamless. Everything else seems to work as intended. Please bring back the old add text features or update the new version to include the options I have mentioned

This app has been very useful for field salespeople or anybody that needs to quickly scan and upload documents, invoices, contracts, etc. The automatic cropping and upscaling is phenomenal. If I needed to use this more than once every couple months then I would most likely subscribe to them but for now my usage is so minimal. Perfect in a pinch. 100% recommended.
