Hlam is a home inventory app that does the boring part for you. Point the camera at a shelf, a drawer, or a storage box — AI recognizes the items in the photo and files them under that place. Later, just search: "where is the soldering iron?" — and Hlam tells you exactly which shelf it's on.

Perfect for closets, garages, basements, attics, summer houses and self-storage units — and for moving, when every box needs a packing list.

WHAT IT DOES

• AI recognition from photos — snap a place once, get a ready list of items with names and descriptions. No manual typing, no barcode scanning.
• Search across your whole home — every item is searchable by name, description, and tags. Find your stuff in seconds.
• Places and photos — organize by rooms, shelves, boxes; every item remembers where it lives and what it looks like.
• QR labels for boxes — print a sticker, scan it later with any camera, and the app opens straight to that box's contents. Ideal for moving boxes and storage.
• Lending tracker — mark an item as lent, to whom and until when. Hlam reminds you to get it back.
• Statuses and tags — archived, lent, overdue; filter your things any way you like.
• Export and share — download everything as a ZIP archive, or share a single item with a public link.
• Works offline — your inventory lives on your phone; cloud sync between devices is optional.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your inventory is yours. With sync enabled, the contents of your records are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload — we cannot read your item names, descriptions, or notes. A 12-word recovery phrase protects your data; you can export or permanently delete everything at any time, right from the app.

HOW PRICING WORKS

Hlam is free to use. AI photo recognition consumes tokens: every new account gets a starting supply, and you can buy more in one-off packs whenever you need them. Tokens never expire — this is not a subscription. Adding, editing, and searching items is always free and unlimited.

WHY HLAM

"Hlam" is Russian for "clutter" — the stuff that accumulates in closets, garages, and basements. You don't have to get rid of it. You just have to know where it is.

WHO USES HLAM

• People moving house — photograph each box before you tape it shut, print a QR label, and unpack in the right order instead of opening eleven boxes to find the kettle.
• Renters and homeowners with a full garage, basement, attic, loft or shed.
• Anyone paying for a self-storage unit who can no longer remember what is in it.
• Hobbyists with a lot of gear: tools, camera kit, fishing tackle, craft supplies, board games, spare parts, decorations.

• Households documenting their belongings and home contents before they need to.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I have to use the AI? No. Adding items by hand is free and unlimited. AI recognition is there for when you have a whole shelf to catalogue at once and no patience for typing.

Does it work without internet? Yes. Your full inventory lives on your phone. Cloud sync is optional and stays off until you switch it on.

Can I get my data out again? Yes — a complete ZIP export of items, places and photos, at any time, plus a matching import so moving to a new phone is one file.

What about barcodes? Hlam does not need them. Most things in a garage have never had a barcode; a photo does the job better.

Can you read my inventory? No. With sync switched on, item names, descriptions and notes are encrypted on your device before upload. We hold ciphertext and no key. The 12-word recovery phrase is yours alone — which also means it cannot be recovered for you if you lose it.

Is there a subscription? No. Tokens for AI recognition are one-off purchases and never expire. Everything else in the app is free.
