RoomBar answers one question: which room in your home has bad Wi-Fi?

Stand in a room, hold still for five seconds, give it a name. That is the whole thing. Do it in a few rooms and the list tells you which one is weakest.

WHAT YOU GET FOR EACH ROOM
A grade from Excellent to Dead zone, and what it actually means. "4K streaming is fine." "Web and messaging only, video will stutter." "Barely usable. This is the spot worth fixing." Under it sits the signal in dBm, the link speed in Mbps, and the band you are on: 2.4, 5 or 6 GHz.

IT TELLS YOU WHEN NOT TO TRUST IT
Wi-Fi wobbles. If the readings jump around while you stand there, RoomBar says so and offers to measure again, instead of handing you a confident number it made up. If the band switches partway through, that is where your devices hand off, and it says that too.

A FLOOR PLAN, IF YOU WANT ONE
Drag the rooms you measured into place, or load a photo of your real floor plan. Tap any spot on it and measuring starts there. Once three points share a band the map fills in as a heatmap, and the parts you never walked are left unpainted rather than guessed at.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
RoomBar does not use your location. Your measurements and room names stay on your phone.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
It does not scan for nearby networks and it is not a speed test. It reads the one network you are actually connected to, which is the one your devices are living with.

Use it while connected to your home Wi-Fi. Free, supported by ads between measurements. One optional payment removes them.
