About this app
iSparta is an app blocker that motivates you to exercise. You choose which distracting apps to limit — social media, games, messengers — and the app blocks access to them. To use them again, you must earn "access minutes" through physical exercise.
How blocking works
— Pick the apps that distract you from what matters.
— When minutes run out, the selected apps are blocked.
— To unlock them, complete exercises: squats, push-ups, a run, or simply walk enough steps.
— Minutes are credited for workouts, and you regain access.

Use of VpnService
The main feature of the app is blocking selected apps. To make this work reliably, iSparta uses the system class android.net.VpnService. This is a standard Android mechanism that lets the app create a secure connection for individual apps. Only the apps you choose are affected; all other traffic on the device (including system traffic) remains unchanged. Without this mechanism, the app cannot track and limit the usage time of selected apps based on earned minutes.
Use of AccessibilityService API
For blocking to work, the app also uses AccessibilityService. This is a standard Android tool that helps the app know which app is currently open on the screen. When you run out of minutes, the service detects that you are trying to open a blocked app and redirects you to the lock screen. The service sees only the name of the opened app; it does not read screen content, collect your messages, or tap buttons for you. All data stays only on your device.
