What permissions are needed to use our app?
Our IT Remote Mobile application will ask you for access to 2 APIs that are absolutely essential to its operation:
1 - MediaProjection: to allow sharing of your screen, you will need to authorize IT Remote Mobile to access the content of your screen. This authorization is not persistent and must be granted for each new screen sharing, otherwise there is no point in using the application since it is the only legal way to access the sharing. screen under Android. We guarantee that the content of your screen will never be analyzed by an AI, and that it will only be used for the main functionality of our application: sharing your screen with your colleagues.
2 - AccessibilityService: you do not have to authorize the accessibility service to use our application, because it is entirely possible to only use IT Remote Mobile for screen sharing. However, if you wanted to allow the person you are sharing your screen with to control your device remotely, then only through the accessibility service will this be technically possible. The only 2 accessibility features that are then used are the emulation of pointer events and the emulation of keyboard keys: this quite simply makes remote control functional. No personal data will be transmitted and no other accessibility features will be used.
In addition, our application always clearly displays a green frame very distinct from the rest of the interface in the middle containing the explicit text "Sharing in progress" when remote control is active. This makes it possible to unambiguously show the user when their device is shared.
We therefore expressly guarantee that as soon as this green frame is no longer visible, it means that the user is no longer in remote control, and therefore that none of these APIs are used, even if you had previously authorized them.
This is also how our applications work on other platforms: the clarity of the interface of our applications is very appreciated by our customers.
