About this app

ToonDance is a free dance video maker that makes cute 3D cartoon characters dance to any song. Pick a character, pick a song, and watch it dance on the beat, automatically. Then build your own choreography, film it with cinematic cameras and share it as a video, GIF or animated sticker on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp. No account needed.

DANCES TO ANY SONG, ON THE BEAT
ToonDance listens to the music on your device, finds the beat, the tempo and the calm, medium and intense parts, and creates a choreography that follows the song from start to finish. Every move lands on the beat, and the big moves come in on the drop. Want something different? Tap New choreography and get a fresh dance in a second.

CUTE 3D CHARACTERS
Multiple cartoon characters with big eyes and lots of personality, like a chubby pigeon, a penguin with puffy feet and a long-legged frog. Tap the character while it dances and it reacts.

DOZENS OF DANCE MOVES
Viral dances and classic steps: Griddy, Floss, Twerk, YMCA, Sprinkler, Vogue, Disco, Shimmy, Six Seven, Aura Farming, the Chicken dance, Brazilian funk steps like Passinho do Jamal, Créu and Eguinha Pocotó, plus spins, jumps, stomps, headstands, floor kicks and a grand finale.

BUILD YOUR OWN DANCE
A timeline like a video editor's: drag moves onto the song, move them around and stretch them. The Matches filter shows the moves that fit the energy of each part of the song.

RECORD LIVE
Play the moves like a DJ: tap the pads while the song plays and every move starts on the next bar, always in rhythm.

CINEMATIC CAMERA
Choose a camera for each part of the song: front, close-up, wide, diagonal, side, from above or orbiting. Or go free: drag to orbit and pinch to zoom.

ANIMATED 3D SCENERIES
A big collection of 3D backgrounds that move with the music: disco with a mirror ball, neon signs, a theater with a velvet curtain, spotlights, a 3D dance floor, beach, a city rooftop at night, space, undersea, aurora, pixel-art arcade, retro synthwave, confetti rain, equalizer and more. Pick from lots of colors or mix your own, and let the colors follow the energy of the song.

YOUR MUSIC
Use any song saved on your device, the sound from a video, or the royalty-free ToonDance songs that play even without internet. Search by name and find the songs you've already danced to.

EXPORT AND SHARE
• HD video in 720p or 1080p, the whole song
• Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 4:5 for the Instagram feed, square 1:1 and 16:9 for YouTube, several formats at once
• Animated GIF and animated sticker with a transparent background, ready for GIPHY
• With or without the song: post the dance and add the official sound in the social app to avoid copyright issues
• Keep using your phone: the export continues in the background and a notification tells you when it's ready
• One-tap sharing to TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp and more
