About Upanishads:

The Upanishads, a part of the Vedas, are ancient Sanskrit texts that contain some of the central philosophical concepts and ideas of Hinduism.Upanishads played an important role in the development of spiritual ideas in ancient India, marking a transition from Vedic ritualism to new ideas and institutions.Of all Vedic literature, the Upanishads alone are widely known, and their central ideas are at the spiritual core of Hindus.

The Upanishads are commonly referred to as Vedānta. Vedanta has been interpreted as the "last chapters, parts of the Veda" and alternatively as "object, the highest purpose of the Veda".The concepts of Brahman (ultimate reality) and Ātman (soul, self) are central ideas in all of the Upanishads,and "know that you are the Ātman" is their thematic focus.Along with the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahmasutra, the mukhya Upanishads (known collectively as the Prasthanatrayi) provide a foundation for the several later schools of Vedanta, among them, two influential monistic schools of Hinduism.


About Vedasa:

The Vedas are a large body of religious texts originating in ancient India. Composed in Vedic Sanskrit, the texts constitute the oldest layer of Sanskrit literature and the oldest scriptures of Hinduism.Hindus consider the Vedas to be apauruṣeya, which means "not of a man, superhuman" and "impersonal, authorless".

Vedas are also called śruti ("what is heard") literature,distinguishing them from other religious texts, which are called smṛti ("what is remembered"). The Veda, for orthodox Indian theologians, are considered revelations seen by ancient sages after intense meditation, and texts that have been more carefully preserved since ancient times.In the Hindu Epic the Mahabharata, the creation of Vedas is credited to Brahma.The Vedic hymns themselves assert that they were skillfully created by Rishis (sages), after inspired creativity, just as a carpenter builds a chariot.

Very good App but please add some small but effective features. 1. On top of each page the name of Upnishad must be displayed so at the time of reading one could know which upnishad is under reading. 2. 'Add a Page Marking option', so that one could know where he was reading last time. 3. The 'Book Mark option' doesn't appear easily it is tricky, please make it easy. 4. Share Option must create Image of the Shlok, so that No one can easily edit the meaning of shlok.

The app is very good to me because it is very instructional and will liberate whoever wishes to be liberated if he follows its teachings. My complaint is that it is fraught with many graphic errors like spelling and spacing mistakes which mess up the meanings and understanding of some texts. I, therefore, suggest a review of the books if possible. Thanks.

Big work was done by people who put these texts in one place. But, overall, the app is quite rude, unpolished. So-called "bookmarks" are in reality FAVORITES. Alas, they can't be sorted. Another problem is typos: after we edit particular texts, quite naturally, we want to save these improved chapters (with edits) PERMANENTLY. Otherwise, what is the point of editing, if - after re-installing - all our work is lost? You can't keep an app on a same phone forever without re-installations.
