About this app
DayCast puts the four things you reach for every day in one place: a planner, a journal, notes and a spending tracker. Everything you write is encrypted on your device, and the AI features run on your phone with Gemini Nano, so nothing you write leaves it.
PLANNER
• Tasks and events on one timeline, with a live now-line and your free time totalled.
• Repeat anything: every 2 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday, the last Friday of the month, every 3 months.
• Projects with progress, priorities, tags, locations with a map, and home-screen widgets.
• Quick Add: type "Lunch with Sarah Friday at noon for 90 min" and DayCast fills in the rest.
JOURNAL
• Mood, weather and optional Health Connect context stamped on each entry.
• Photos, voice memos, templates, and a map of where you wrote.
• On-device AI follow-up questions, reflections and summaries. A Daily Chat that turns a conversation into an entry.
• Streaks, a year in review, and a daily reminder.
NOTES
• Folders, tags, wikilinks, checklists, tables, code blocks and handwriting.
• Version history, so an accidental overwrite is never final.
• On-device proofreading, rewriting and translation.
SPENDING
• Budgets, bills, savings goals and a daily safe-to-spend number.
• Receipt scanning with on-device text recognition.
• Bill calendar, cash-flow forecast, debt payoff planner and merchant insights.
• Optional: detect transactions from your bank's notifications. Off by default.
PDFS
• Import, scan, annotate, reorder pages, and search inside every document, including OCR for scanned pages.
