We will now present an Android mobile application called Ovarycycle, designed for women of reproductive age worldwide. In Gabon, where it was developed, it has been observed that many women of reproductive age, especially younger women, experience unwanted pregnancies. This often leads some to resort to clandestine abortions, which are fatal in two out of five cases. The phenomenon is growing and largely ignored due to its taboo nature. Given these observations, and considering that young people around the world have embraced smartphones as constant companions, we developed an application that allows these women to manage their menstrual cycles, identifying their fertile and non-fertile periods. Furthermore, the application enables them to plan for future pregnancies. The application complies with all regulations regarding the protection of personal data.
