We wanted to solve a problem that we were experiencing ourselves. It can be hard to find new people to do things with (IRL).

We live around people, but we don't know most of them. Some of them might have overlapping interests with us. Some of them might have a need that we can help out with. But we have no easy way of meeting/finding them.

Community is meant to facilitate/enable in person interactions among people in the same vicinity. The app is video post centric. Users post in one of 4 categories: Activities, Requests for Help, Volunteer, and Marketplace. Posts only show to those nearby (users have some control on preferences, such as distance, age, gender). Posts only stay active for a fixed limited duration (anywhere from an hour to a week).

Examples of who we think might find this helpful:

-If you are new to a place, and want to find others to join you on some local exploring

-If you signed up for a marathon/iron man/5k and want to find some training buddies nearby

-If you are passionate about woodworking, and want to share your knowledge with others just starting out

-And many other scenarios

Reddit forums, Meetup, Craigslist and even dating apps try to address this issue. We are taking it on in a different way. Hopefully some of you find it helpful.
