We wanted to solve a problem that we were experiencing ourselves. It can be hard to find new people to do things with (IRL).

We live around people, but we don't know most of them. Some of them might have overlapping interests with us. Some of them might have a need that we can help out with. But we have no easy way of meeting/finding them. Community is meant to facilitate in person interactions among people in the same vicinity.

Community is video post centric. Users post in one of 3 categories: Activities, Requests for Help, Volunteer. Posts only show to those nearby. Users have control on preferences, such as distance, age, gender. Posts only stay active for a fixed limited duration (anywhere from an hour to a week).

Examples of who we think might find this helpful:

-If you are new to a place, and want to find others to join you on some local exploring

-If you signed up for a marathon/iron man/5k and want to find some training buddies nearby

-You like going thrifting, but would enjoy it more if you had someone to go with you

-If you haven't played Dungeons and Dragons for a long time, and want to see if a few people nearby want to meet up for a game night

-And many other scenarios

Reddit forums, Meetup, Craigslist and even dating apps try to address this issue. We are taking it on in a different way. Hopefully some of you find it helpful.
