About this app

We wanted to solve a problem that we were experiencing ourselves. It's not easy to meet/do things with people nearby who you don't already know.

We live around people, but we don't know most of them. Some of them might have overlapping interests with us. Some of them might have a need that we can help out with. Some can help us out. But we have no easy way of meeting/finding them. Community is meant to facilitate/enable in person interactions among people in the same vicinity. The app is video post centric. Users post in one of 4 categories: Activities, Requests for Help, Volunteer, and Marketplace. Posts only show to those nearby (users have some control on preferences, such as distance, age, gender).

Reddit forums, Meetup, Craigslist and even dating apps try to address this issue. We are taking it on in a different way. Hopefully some of you find it helpful.
