About this app

Your Bible. Your questions. Real answers.

Devote is the study Bible that answers back. Ask anything and get answers rooted in Scripture, get devotionals written for exactly what you are facing, and listen to a narrated audio Bible, guided prayers and meditations. Free to use, no ads. Rated 4.8 stars by 15,000+ believers.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105

ASK ANYTHING
Struggling with forgiveness? Confused by a passage? Wrestling with doubt? Ask in your own words and get a clear, biblical answer with every verse cited and one tap away. Devote's AI is grounded in Scripture alone and never pulls from outside sources. Choose your favorite pastors and teachers to shape how it responds, like a wise friend who is always ready to study with you.

DEVOTIONALS MADE FOR YOU
Tell Devote what you are going through and it writes a devotional plan for it, on any topic, for as many days as you need. Each day brings Scripture, a reflection, a prayer and a place to ask questions. Read it, or listen with soft music underneath. Invite a friend and walk through it together. Every two weeks Devote also crafts a fresh set of plans just for you.

A DAILY RHYTHM
Start each morning with a short devotional: a quote, a passage, a reflection and a prayer, short enough for a busy morning. Build the habit with streaks and milestones, get a gentle reminder each day, or take a Journey through the whole Bible, every book, start to finish.

NARRATED AUDIO BIBLE
Any chapter, beautifully read, with each verse highlighted as you listen. Available in NIV, ESV and NKJV, each with its own narrator. Choose a music bed like Piano & Cello or Acoustic Guitar, set the speed, and drift off with the sleep timer.

MEDITATIONS AND GUIDED PRAYERS
A library of 100+ audio experiences for anxiety, loneliness, rest, healing, gratitude and more. Scripture meditations, guided prayers, Bible stories and daily Scripture, all crafted to help you slow down and hear from God.

GO DEEPER ON ANY VERSE
Tap a verse to interpret it: what it means, the original Hebrew and Greek, the historical context, and artwork that brings it to life. Highlight, take notes and save favorites. Every interpretation you read is kept in your library.

EVERY MAJOR TRANSLATION
NIV, ESV, KJV, NKJV, NLT, NASB, CSB, AMP, The Message and more. Spanish readers get NVI and Reina-Valera 1909, and the whole app is available in Spanish.

Ratings and reviews

Another app that doesn't tell you in the beginning that it is not a free app! Uninstalling!

Shows a bunch of shiny features then locks them all behind a subscription. Most of the app is also AI generated garbage. seems like a get rich quick thing from a tech bro taking advantage of Christians. Avoid.

best bible app i have used in along time.
