Cleanup helps you reclaim storage on your Android phone by finding what's safe to remove — without uploading anything. Everything is analyzed on your device.
Photos
Scan your library to find exact duplicates and visually similar shots (burst photos, re-saves, resized copies), plus screenshots, large photos, and images saved from messaging apps and downloads. Cleanup groups look-alikes together, keeps the best copy, and pre-selects the rest so you can review and delete with one tap.
Videos
Find duplicate and similar videos, large videos, screen recordings, and downloaded clips. Duplicates and look-alikes are grouped the same way, so you keep one and clear the extras.

Safe by default
Removals go to your device's trash, so anything you clear stays restorable for about 30 days from your gallery or Files app. Prefer to free the space immediately? Switch to permanent deletion in Settings, where you can also see the running total of everything you have cleared with Cleanup.
How it works
Cleanup tells real duplicates apart from merely-similar media by fingerprinting each item on your device (a content hash for exact copies and a small perceptual "visual" hash for look-alikes). Deletions go through Android's system media store; nothing is copied, backed up, or uploaded. On Android 13+ you can allow all media or pick "Selected photos," and Cleanup only scans what you share.
The UI follows Material 3 with a warm theme in light and dark mode and is available in 14 languages. Open-source credits are in the in-app Licenses screen.
