Jot A Thought is a private, on-device journaling app for anyone who wants
one honest place to put down what's on their mind, without an audience,
a feed, or a permanent record anywhere but their own phone.
Once a day, the app asks one simple question: "What are you thinking right
now?" You choose a frame (Past, Present, or Future) and write freely.
That's the whole loop. No prompts to optimize, no streaks to protect, no
one grading your answer.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Every thought you write stays on your device, encrypted in local storage.
Jot A Thought never uploads your entries, never reads them, and has no
account system to tie them to you. Privacy Mode blurs your entries by
default until you choose to reveal them, useful the moment someone glances
at your screen. Optional PIN/biometric app lock adds another layer if you
want it.
SEE WHERE YOUR MIND HAS BEEN
Over time, the Patterns view shows a simple, private breakdown of how your
thoughts have been split between past, present, and future. No scoring,
no comparisons to anyone else, just a quiet mirror on where your attention
has been living.
HONEST, NOT MANIPULATIVE
Jot A Thought doesn't use streaks, guilt notifications, or engagement
tricks to pull you back in. A gentle daily reminder is all it does. If you
skip a day, nothing is lost and nothing scolds you for it.
HOW IT WORKS
• Try the full app free for 7 days.
• After that, a one-time payment unlocks it for good. No subscription,
no recurring charge, ever.
• Everything you've already written stays yours and stays readable, even
if you decide not to continue.
• Already unlocked on another device? Use your license code to activate
a second device without paying again.
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who thinks better on the page than in their head, who wants a place
for a passing thought that doesn't belong on social media, in a group chat,
or in a notes app cluttered with grocery lists. If you've ever wanted to
just say the thing, to no one, for no reason, and have it actually stay
private, this is that place.
Your thoughts live on your device. We never see them.
A private space to jot a thought, past, present, or future. Yours alone.
