Yakuu translates conversations in real time. Speak in any of 60+ languages and see — and hear — the translation appear instantly on screen.

Built for international meetings, online lectures, classrooms, interviews, medical visits, customer support, and travel. Yakuu listens through your phone's microphone, transcribes your speech with high accuracy, and shows the translation side by side with the original.

BACKGROUND OPERATION (FOREGROUND SERVICES)
Yakuu is designed for long, real-world conversations — international meetings, multi-hour lectures, interviews, travel. To make sure your translation session is not cut off when the screen turns off, when you switch apps to take a note, or when a phone call arrives, Yakuu uses two foreground services for the duration of an active session:

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE — keeps capturing audio from the microphone for live transcription while the app is in the background or the screen is locked, so the conversation is never interrupted mid-sentence.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — keeps the spoken translation (text-to-speech) audible through the device speaker or Bluetooth headset, even while the screen is off, so the other person continues to hear the translated voice without you having to keep the app on screen.

• Both services start ONLY after you tap Start in the app and grant microphone and notification permissions.
• While a session is active, a persistent recording notification is always visible in the system status bar with a Stop action.
• You can stop the session at any time from the notification, from inside the app, or by closing the app.
• Both foreground services run only for the duration of your translation session and are released automatically when you stop.

PRIVACY
You are always in control. Audio is processed only while a session is running, never silently in the background. New users receive 15 minutes of free transcription credit; additional time is available via subscription or one-time top-up packs.
