You know exactly what you want to say to them. You just can't say it in their language.
Jembatan is a translate keyboard you talk to. Hold the mic, speak normally in your own language, and the translation lands in the box you were already typing in. Read it, hit send.
It is a chat translator keyboard, so it works everywhere you type: a WhatsApp translator in WhatsApp, the same thing in Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, email and notes. No copy-paste, no switching to a translation app and back.
NOT A WORD-FOR-WORD DUMP
Most tools send back exactly what you said, filler and all. "How you? I very cannot wait see you again." Grammar does not survive that trip, and the person reading it can tell.
Jembatan rebuilds your speech into real sentences in the other language before it goes anywhere. Your meaning, your warmth, written the way someone there would actually write it. English to Indonesian is the pair Jembatan was built and tuned on, with Bengali, Arabic and Spanish reviewed alongside it.
Prefer to type? Type your message, tap the translate key, and it goes out in their language. Speak and translate, or translate while typing, whichever suits the moment.
A PROPER KEYBOARD, FREE FOREVER
Glide typing, key popups, predictions that learn your words, emoji search, and a clipboard manager. The keyboard itself is free and always will be. Nothing about typing is paywalled, so you can leave Jembatan on as your everyday keyboard and use the voice translator keyboard part only when you need it.
WHEN YOU CAN'T TYPE THEIR SCRIPT
You do not need a Bengali keyboard to write Bengali, or an Arabic keyboard for Arabic. Speak English and the script is written for you. Same for Indonesian, so a bahasa Indonesia keyboard is one less thing to install, and the Spanish translator keyboard you were about to search for is already here.
UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY SEND BACK
Copy their reply, tap the translate key, and read it in your language right there in the keyboard. That makes it a WhatsApp translator in both directions, a translator for WhatsApp chat that never asks you to leave the thread. Jembatan does not read your screen or your chats on its own. It only sees the words you speak and the reply you copy in yourself.
IN THE SAME ROOM
Pass one phone back and forth. Each person taps their language and speaks, and Jembatan shows the translation and reads it out loud.
TWENTY LANGUAGES, PAIRED WITH ENGLISH
Indonesian, Bengali, Arabic, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, French, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Turkish, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Russian and Persian. Hindi and Urdu can write back in Roman script if that reads easier.
WHAT IT COSTS
Free to install and free to use, up to 25 translations and 5 understood replies a month.
Jembatan Pro removes that cap and adds server-grade voice transcription for strong accents and noisy rooms. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, unlimited, card required.
Duo is the one most couples and families want: one subscription, both phones. You subscribe, you get a code, they enter it, and you are both on Pro. GBP 64.99 a year, around GBP 2.71 each per month. Duo is also GBP 6.99 monthly. If it is only ever your phone, Solo is GBP 5.49 a month.
YOUR MESSAGES STAY YOURS
Speech is recognised on your device where your phone supports it. Message text is never stored and is never used to train anything.
WHY THIS EXISTS
I'm Bengali, but my Bengali never caught up with me. My dad, granddad and grandma don't speak much English, and for years that meant voice notes or asking someone else to translate for me. I wanted to message them myself, in words they could read on their own. So I built the keyboard translator for chat I needed, then made the typing good enough to keep on all day.
If it doesn't sound right to the person you sent it to, email support@juberahmed.dev and I'll refund you myself. I would rather know.
Say it properly in their language. Speak, and it types the translation for you.
