■ Is that investment opportunity really safe?
"Guaranteed principal with a monthly return of X%", "Get rewards for referring friends", "AI automatically earns money"—these kinds of enticing phrases are common to investment scams that have caused significant losses in the past.
"Investment Scam Radar" is a free warning app that assesses the "scam risk" by simply entering the name of the investment opportunity and the enticing phrases you've been approached with, comparing them against past scam cases and dangerous keywords. It's a tool to learn from history and stop before you become a victim.
■ Three Functions
【1. Diagnosis】
Simply enter the name of the investment opportunity you've been approached with by a friend or acquaintance, and the conditions mentioned during the solicitation.
It detects dangerous keywords typically used in scams, such as "guaranteed principal", "high dividends", "referral rewards", and "unable to withdraw money," and matches them with past scam cases. It displays the scam risk as a percentage.
【2. Checklist】
Self-diagnose dangerous signs with an 11-item checklist, such as "rewards for referring people" and "failure to verify if the company is registered with the Financial Services Agency." The more items that apply to you, the more caution is needed.
[3. Case Studies]
This section compiles past investment fraud and trouble cases that caused significant damage, based on publicly reported information (warnings from the Financial Services Agency, reports of arrests and trials, etc.). You can learn about the types of schemes, how the solicitation progressed, and what warning signs were present.
■ Recommended for those who:
・Were invited to invest or start a side business through social media or dating apps
・Were recommended by friends or acquaintances with promises of "guaranteed profits"
・Are worried that family members (especially elderly parents) might be involved in suspicious investment schemes
・Want to know common fraud tactics before starting to invest
■ Consultation Services for When You're in Trouble
From within the app, you can quickly access the Consumer Hotline (188), the Police Consultation Hotline (#9110), and the Financial Services Agency's registered and unregistered company search. If you have any concerns, please consult before handing over any money.
■ Privacy Considerations
The information you enter is processed within your device and is not transmitted or stored externally. Account registration is not required.
