Neon Pose is a form-scoring app that lets you count reps and manage sets for strength training. Simply set the reps and sets for each exercise, and AI will automatically detect your movements using the camera and count them. You can also check your form in real time using a score from 0 to 100 and a neon skeleton.
Recommended for:
- Those who find counting reps and sets a hassle
- Those who want to focus on the exercise without having to wonder, "How many more reps do I have left?"
- Those who want to check their form while also properly managing reps and sets
- Those who want to manage the quality and quantity of their squats, push-ups, and sit-ups all in one app
The app will count and score you until you complete the set number of reps and sets. You can continue your planned training at home or at the gym.
[Key Features]
■ Rep Counting & Set Management
Set the number of reps and sets for each exercise. AI will detect your movements using the camera footage and automatically count reps completed with correct form. Simply follow the on-screen rest instructions between sets, so you won't have to worry about which set you're doing. Focus on your training without having to worry about managing reps and sets.
■ Real-time posture estimation and neon skeletal overlay
High-precision posture detection using Google ML Kit displays your skeletal movements in real time as they are captured on camera. The neon color (cyan/green/red) changes depending on your score, so you can see at a glance whether your form is good or bad. No special clothing or markers are required, so you can start right away.
■ Form score from 0 to 100
You're scored based on the following four criteria:
・ROM (Range of Motion): Depth and range of movement
・Stability: Minimization of shaking
・Posture: Correct body alignment
・Variation: Balance between left and right
You can see your progress numerically during your daily training, such as "I bent deeper today than yesterday."
■ Improvement advice
Up to two specific areas for improvement are displayed based on your score. These can be used for your next training session. You'll be clear on what you need to do next, such as "move your knees a little further forward" or "avoid arching your lower back too much."
■ Supported Exercises
・Squats: For lower body training
・Push-ups: For chest and arm training
・Sit-ups: For abdominal training
By focusing on three basic exercises, you can accurately assess your form and count each exercise. Start by managing your reps, sets, and form all at once using these three exercises.
■ Workout Settings (Difficulty)
In addition to reps and sets, you can choose difficulty from three levels: easy, normal, and hard. Beginners can start on easy, and as you become more accustomed, you can increase the difficulty to normal or hard for more accurate counting and feedback.
■ History and Graphs
Save your past records and track your progress with a line graph. You can also filter by exercise. Log in to save your records to the cloud and continue using them even on a different device. When not logged in, they are saved locally.
■ Scorecard Sharing
You can easily share the scorecard on the results screen via social media or messaging apps. Sharing your reps, sets, and score all at once can help motivate you.
[About Scoring and Difficulty]
You can choose from three scoring levels: "Easy," "Normal," and "Hard." Scores are for reference only. Physical condition and flexibility vary from person to person, so please continue training within your limits.
[Data Handling]
All posture analysis is performed locally on your device (Google ML Kit); camera footage and skeletal data are not sent to the server. Exercise records are stored in the cloud when you are logged in, and only locally when you are not logged in. For details, please refer to the privacy policy in the app and on the developer's website.
[How to Use]
1. Launch the app and select an exercise (squats, push-ups, or sit-ups) on the home screen.
2. Tap "Start," set the number of repetitions, sets, and difficulty level, and tap "Start."
3. Position your smartphone so that your entire body is captured by the camera.
4. Follow the instructions to begin exercising. A neon skeleton displays your form in real time and automatically counts your reps.
5. After completing all sets, check your score and advice on the results screen.
6. Share your results with "Share" or recalculate with "Retry."
You can change exercises, reps, sets, and difficulty at any time. We recommend starting with a low number of reps and an easy setting, then increasing the difficulty once you've mastered the technique.
[Usage Tips]
- Make sure your entire body is visible in the camera (head to toe).
- Adequate lighting improves posture detection and counting accuracy.
- For side exercises (push-ups and sit-ups), point the camera from the side for more accurate scoring and counting.
