Guitar Capo & Key Helper works out capo positions, transposed chords, and song keys - for beginners learning their first open chords and worship or campfire players following a leader in a different key.

CAPO
- Have a capo on and a shape in mind? Pick the shape and the fret and see the key it sounds in
- Know the song's key? Pick it and see every capo position that lets you play it with an easy open shape, with the lowest fret highlighted

TRANSPOSE
- Type a chord progression and shift it up or down by semitones
- Correct sharp/flat spelling in the result, not just note-number math
- A "with capo N play" row suggests an easier open-shape fingering for the transposed chords
- Unrecognized tokens (song sections, repeat marks) pass through unchanged

KEY FINDER
- Tap the chords you hear in a song
- Ranks the most likely keys by how well the chords fit, with the matching roman numerals shown

SHAPES
- Reference diagrams for the standard open chord shapes: C, A, G, E, and D majors, plus Am, Em, and Dm
- Watch a short video ad to unlock the open 7th-chord shapes for 24 hours

This app is fully offline and works with no signal - useful in a basement rehearsal room or a campground with no bars.

What’s new

Shapes now includes barre chords: B, Bm, F, Fm, Cm and Gm, each drawn with the bar marked and the fret position labeled. B7 joins the 7th chord set.

The unlock button now shows a spinner while the ad loads, and says so when no ad is available instead of doing nothing.

Capo suggestions no longer push a capo on you when the chords you typed are already open shapes.
