Kaelu is a free weather app with no ads, no account, and no tracking.
Accurate weather forecasts, animated weather maps, and a home screen widget —
privacy first, always.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
A rich home screen tile with everything at a glance: temperature, feels like, humidity, wind speed and direction, UV index, air quality, visibility, pressure, and dew point. Smart boost alerts tell you when rain is arriving before it starts — not just when it's already raining.
WEATHER FORECAST
Get hourly and daily weather forecasts up to 16 days ahead:
• 48-hour hourly forecast with weather icons, precipitation probability, wind, and temperature
• 14-day daily forecast with high/low temperatures
• 10-year monthly climatology — see what the weather is normally like, any month of the year
ANIMATED WEATHER MAPS
Interactive maps with 72 hours of animated forecasts at 10-minute resolution:
temperature, precipitation, wind, humidity, and cloud cover — including
animated weather radar. Watch the weather move across your region in real time.
HOME SCREEN WEATHER WIDGET
A home screen weather widget that always shows your current conditions —
temperature, weather description, and a forecast graph. The Android
weather widget updates automatically in the background.
MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
Save as many locations as you need. Drag to reorder, switch with a swipe. Offline mode always shows the last known data with a freshness indicator.
PERSONALISATION
Choose your units: temperature (°C/°F), wind speed (km/h, mph, m/s, knots), precipitation, pressure, visibility, time and date format. Two home screen themes: Black and White.

Weather data is fetched directly from Open-Meteo, an open-source weather
API — no account required, no sign-up, no data collection, no tracking.
Your saved locations never leave your device. Kaelu is one of the very
few weather apps with no ads and no background data harvesting.
Kaelu is built by an independent developer — no corporate agenda, no ads,
no subscription required for core features. Feedback is always welcome and
directly shapes what gets built next.
