Boring Video Player plays the videos that are already on your phone. No ads, no accounts, no tracking — and no internet permission at all, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

YOUR VIDEOS
• Every video on the device, grouped by the folder it lives in
• Sort by date, name, size or duration
• Remembers where you stopped and picks up from there
• Starts the next video automatically when one ends

WHILE WATCHING
• Swipe the left half for brightness, the right half for volume
• Double-tap either side to jump 10 seconds back or forward
• Playback speed from 0.5x up to 2x
• Fit, fill or zoom the picture
• A-B repeat to loop the part you want to watch again
• Picture-in-picture, so the video keeps playing when you leave the app

SUBTITLES
• Finds a matching .srt, .vtt, .ssa or .ass file sitting next to your video on its own
• Or pick any subtitle file yourself
• Nudge the timing in half-second steps until it lines up

PRIVACY
The app reads the videos you allow it to read and keeps your settings and playback positions on your device. That is all of it. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no crash reporter. On Android 14 and newer you can grant access to only the videos you pick, and the app works with whatever subset you allow.
